844 days, 20,256 hours, 1,215,360 minutes, or 72,921,600 seconds. That is the approximate duration of my world tour. I never wanted it to end and now, in a manner of speaking, I suppose it never has to. If you wish to go by country do so by clicking on one above. They are numbered in the order I visited them, more or less. If you enjoy reading about it even a tenth as much as I enjoyed living it then you will not have wasted your time. Grab a refreshing beverage, settle in a comfortable chair, and make a journey across the world, experiencing it as I did. Then get off your ass and check it out for yourself. You're not getting any younger.

Return to Kazbegi (Kazbegi, Georgia)

June 6th, 2010 - Go to Google.com. Type 'Where is Chuck Norris' in the search box and then click 'I'm Feeling Lucky'. I rarely return to places I have previously visited (too much to see) but in the case of Kazbegi it was necessary to make an exception, especially since my first visit was for only one night. It was a wise decision. The weather in Tbilisi is mildly oppressive currently so the fresh mountain air was most welcome.

I hitched a ride with some folks I met online (Couchsurfing.com). I had intended to spend at least a week with them but altered my plan when I realized they only intended to remain in Kazbegi for one night. Not again. We parted ways after the first night. So much for the Iranian-Spanish-American Joint Operation. Maybe next country.

I found myself walking once again to the Tsminda Sameba (The Holy Trinity) Church on the lower slopes of Mt. Kazbek. The stunning nature of this story book setting cannot be overstated but it hardly justifies the 1.2 billion shots I took of the church and its surroundings. I was ready to sign up for a twelve step program.

I wanted to throw this pup in my bag and take him with me. Awwwwww.....
